We are giving those of you who are our regular readers a bit of a head start here. Over the next few days we will be adding 15 nativity sets to our etsy shop. We had to wait for the kings to arrive. But they followed the right star and have made it safely. Then we had to wait for the packaging boxes. And while we were waiting, one of us bubble wrapped many many beautifully made, lovingly crafted figures hoping, just like the artists, that every person who looked at them would know love and peace. Each set comes in its very own purpose made thauli - a drawstring coin purse made with love by Sobha.
Get thee to the Samunnat Shop this weekend and have a peek. Or better still, buy one! We are also adding some magnificent ultramarine, some glorious sea green and some vibrantly bold coral Jagariti neckalces. These are proving very popular and go with so many of the new season’s colours. Effortless elegance would be the saleperson’s phrase I think!
We had such a lovely response to our post about a typical day. Thanks to all those who left comments or emailed separately. It has been a particularly tough time for the rights of women lately and many of the ladies recently united to protest against a dreadful situation. It is one that shows how far we still have to come. High ranking officials tried to sweep a domestic violence crime, involving torture and murder, under the carpet with an out of court settlement. But women weren’t going to take that. Kopila will write some more about this is our next post. Until then, thank you all. Ramrosanga januhos….Go Well.
